As part of the ongoing efforts to combat counterfeiting and protect the trademarks of our clients, the authorities, in cooperation with ATB IP, carried out a raid on a factory engaged in the manufacturing and sale of counterfeit lighters.
The manufacturing facility is located in Sadat City, Monufia Governorate, and spans an area of approximately 1,000 square meters. During the raid, large quantities of raw materials and plastic components used in the production of lighters were found openly stored and displayed, with an estimated volume of around one million pieces ready for use.
In addition, gas cylinders and gas pipes were observed on-site during the manufacturing process, posing a serious safety risk to factory workers.
Furthermore, finished goods ready for distribution to the Egyptian market were identified and seized. The authorities confiscated approximately 100,000 units of counterfeit lighters as final products.
