50,000 Fake Brand Stickers Seized During Enforcement Raid
What appeared to be an ordinary printing facility was, in reality, operating as a production site for counterfeit apparel accessories destined for the local garment industry.
As part of Egypt’s ongoing nationwide efforts to combat intellectual property infringements, the authorities carried out a successful enforcement operation targeting a facility suspected of manufacturing counterfeit apparel accessories. Acting on intelligence gathered during the investigation, inspectors entered the premises to uncover the full extent of the operation.
Inside, the facility was found to be fully equipped for large-scale production. Authorities discovered multiple industrial printing machines alongside substantial quantities of plastic and fabric rolls used in the manufacture of garment accessories, indicating a well-established operation capable of producing counterfeit goods in high volumes.
A thorough inspection of the premises revealed thousands of finished products prepared for commercial distribution. Among the seized items were approximately 50,000 counterfeit stickers bearing the trademarks of several internationally recognized brands, including trademarks owned by a number of ATB’s clients. The products were intended for supply to garment manufacturers, posing a significant risk to both brand owners and consumers.
The successful operation highlights the continued commitment of the Egyptian authorities, working in close cooperation with ATB Intellectual Property, to disrupt counterfeit manufacturing operations and protect intellectual property rights throughout the country.
