Due to the alarming rise in counterfeit products in global trade, Egypt has become a target for counterfeiters, specifically in the socks industry. Despite its renowned cultural heritage, Egypt has experienced a surge in the production and procurement of socks, with over 2000 factories producing an average of 1000 million pieces per day. This has attracted numerous entrepreneurs and collaborators interested in establishing businesses in Egypt’s thriving socks sector.
In a recent operation, our dedicated team focused on combating counterfeiting successfully uncovered a shipping company involved in distributing counterfeit socks. Through meticulous surveillance of the target, our team gathered substantial evidence and, with the assistance of authorities, conducted a raid on the illicit operation. As a result of the raid, an impressive 15,000 pieces of counterfeit socks were seized. The trader responsible now faces criminal charges, and during the legal proceedings, appropriate punishments and fines will be imposed.
The battle against counterfeit products can be won through united efforts, ensuring a marketplace that is safer and more dependable.
