The UAE Cabinet has issued Cabinet Resolution No. (102) of 2025, introducing amendments to the schedule of trademark services and official fees. The resolution forms part of the country’s continued efforts to modernize its intellectual property system and improve service efficiency for businesses operating locally and internationally.
Introduction of a 24-Hour Examination Option
One of the most notable features of the resolution is the launch of an expedited trademark examination service, allowing applicants to obtain an examination result within one working day from filing.
This fast-track option significantly reduces the standard processing timeframe and provides brand owners with greater certainty at an early stage of their filing strategy — particularly valuable for time-sensitive launches, investment transactions, franchising, or enforcement planning.
The official fee for the accelerated one-day examination service is USD 615, payable in addition to the standard filing fees.
Strengthening the UAE’s IP Infrastructure
The resolution reflects the UAE’s broader strategy of enhancing its digital government services and reinforcing its position as a regional hub for innovation and commerce.
